... we were walking by a river in North Norfolk this morning and
suddenly saw a Croc at the riverside!!!

get educated ;-) He must be one of the greatest British sporting heros
ever!

iPhone Update!

Well the old iPhone has just had it first 'business traveller' test
and no surprise, it passed with flying colours.

I used it for all the usual email and text shinanigins but also for
finding potential restaurants for dinner, directing me to those
restaurants (compass was very cool here), important share price
updates, morning alarm call and taking my go on Conquer Club.

The main thing that impresses me is that I've had phones that will do
most of this for years but I actually used the functions this time as
it was always so easy. Usability really is king!

Such a beautiful day for flying :-)

Are you ready to be a data centre manager?

I've been sorting out various techie things this weekend and it has
occured to me that within the next couple of years I will need
multiple Terabytes of disk storage at home to house my ever growing
music, video and specifically photo collection.

I will not be alone either and so I predict a real explosion in the
home server market, there are offerings now but none will pass the
'non techie' user test.

I don't believe 'cloud' backup will be the answer either but I could
be proved wrong ;-)

Simple pleasures...

...I love walking up here early in the morning to buy the newspapers
from Terry at our local shop. It's a great time for one to ponder.
Today's revelation was that I will have crumpets for breakfast ;-)

... and I'm still staggered by just how good the iPhone is! Windows Mobile, you have so much to learn about usability!!!
